About

Veronica began her career in the teaching field 28 years ago. A love of nature led her to a fulfilling career in environmental education where she helped share her passion initially in British Columbia, but then settling permanently in central Ontario. She has taught students of all ages from the young to the wonderfully young-at-heart. In 2008 Veronica decided to take her passion for teaching and combine it with her love of animals and changed the focus of her career to create a new life-long path in dog training.

She is a (honours status) Certified Dog Trainer graduate from Animal Behavior College. She regularly takes courses and seminars to continue upgrading her skills including canine massage, pet first aid, canine nutrition, operant conditioning, canine conditioning, and body language.

Veronica is a member of The Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT), as well as the Agility Association of Canada (AAC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), Canine Performance Events (CPE), and the Scarborough Kennel Club.

Veronica competes in dog activities including agility, rally obedience, and conformation. She currently shares her life with Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. Her dogs have placed on the podium at the National level in AAC agility and have also been ranked #4 all breeds in CKC agility. She is a Canine Good Neighbour (CGN) Evaluator with the Canadian Kennel Club as well as a Therapy Dog Evaluator with St John Ambulance.

Veronica has been volunteering as a Therapy Dog member in a local hospital for the past 14 years and is currently visiting with her third dog in the program.
